The Animal Control Division enforces all State laws and City Ordinance and Violations concerning animals, investigates dogs at large, nuisance complaints, dog licensing, sick or injured animals, cruelty complaints, rabies related complaints, removal of deceased animals and education of animal care needs.
Check out the Adopt a Pet program at the Moberly Animal Shelter. Saving an animal’s life is the greatest feeling, find your new fur-ever family at a local shelter. There are many dogs at the shelter to choose from. Regular Adoptions are $50 for dogs under 1 year old, and $45 for dogs older than 1 year. Adoption cost for the hounds program dogs are $120. Volunteer hours are: Monday - Friday from 11am to 1pm and Saturday from 9am to 11am except when shelter is closed for Holidays. You can come by the shelter any time to fill out volunteer paperwork, or sign up during volunteer hours. You can be be any age to volunteer, but if you are under the age of 17 you must have an adult/gaurdian to supervise.
If you have lost a lost pet, contact the on duty animal control officer at 660-833-7330 for assistance in locating the animal.
