Emergency Management

Mission 

To protect the City of Moberly and Randolph County by coordinating and integrating all activities necessary to build, sustain, and improve the capability to prevent, mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other emergency events through a comprehensive, risk-based, all-hazard emergency management program.


Responsibilities

Duties include:

  • Coordinating the emergency and assists business firms in establishing industrial emergency management program 
  • In the event of a disaster, activates the emergency center and assists the county or city officials with command and control of the incident
  • Meeting with state and federal emergency management officials to coordinate the county emergency program
  • Planning, organizing and directing the operation of the county emergency management program with local government, civic and business officials and other interest groups 
  • Prepares the budget for the emergency management programs
  • Prepares various forms, official documents and reports for state and federal officials 
  • Testing and maintaining of early warning siren system for Moberly and Huntsville
