Police Chief Ceremony

(Moberly, MO, 6-18-25) – During this week’s Moberly City Council meeting, Bobby Calvert was officially sworn in as Chief of Police. The ceremony was attended by family members, Moberly Police Department officers, and representatives from regional law enforcement agencies who gathered to show their support.

City Clerk Shannon Hance administered the oath of office, with Chief Calvert surrounded by family during the ceremony. The event marked the formal beginning of Chief Calvert’s leadership, following his recent appointment to the role.

In his comments following the event, Mayor Brandon Lucas expressed confidence in Chief Calvert’s leadership and reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to providing the resources needed to support his success.

The City and Police Department express their gratitude to all who attended and look forward to this new chapter under Chief Calvert’s direction.
